Hurricane Fred was a Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that formed on October 6, 2021 and dissipated on October 16, 2021. It was the first major hurricane to hit the states of Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. It was also the most powerful hurricane to hit a north eastern state since the 1938 New England hurricane.
