Kuth is a pattern of cuts used in the Eastern Lands as punishment in the public execution of child-killers, like in the Mercy Seat in Tai-tastigon. In Seeker's Mask, Bane does it to one of the Bashtiri Shadow Guild assassins in Aerulan's name.
