Loriculus or hanging parrots, is a genus of parrots in the Psittaculidae family This is a group of small parrots from tropical southern Asia. These little parrots, about 13 cm (5.1 in) long, are mostly green plumaged and short-tailed. Often head coloring helps to identify individual species. These parrots are unique among birds for their ability to sleep upside down.
