There are two major types of terrain in the Maguuma. The upper reaches are hot, dry, desert-like areas. Devourers, Thorn Stalkers, and Maguuma Centaurs make their home in the upper parts. The lower parts of the jungle are covered in plants, the middle altitudes still have dirt paths, while the lower areas are water filled. Moss Scarabs, Storm Riders, Jungle Trolls and the poisonous Maguuma Spiders, as well as some centaurs live here. The waters of the Fount Of Maguuma have healing powers and will grant players a +1 health regeneration.
