Bergren was a Havenite citizen and a soldier of the State Security Ground Forces. In 1911 PD, Bergren held the rank of Sergeant, and he served aboard the battlecruiser PNS Tepes. He was part of the brig detail and when he attempted to abuse Honor Harrington, but she broke his wrist and kicked him in the mouth. He was later killed when the prisoners escaped and Horace Harkness blew up the ship. (HH7, OBS)
