The Lancer Battalion were units of the Grand Army of the Republic made up of lancer troopers. These Lancer Battalions were used occasionally against the Confederacy of Independent Systems's IG lancer combat droids and unwieldy columns of battle droids. They were particularly remembered for their part in the Battle of Muunilinst.
