Manute was the former starting center for the Washington "Whities", and occaisional scapegoat on Saturday Night Live a number of years ago. He abandoned his team to go play with liberals in their fictional country of Africa, and Dikembe Mutombo had to come in at the last minute and do the real work Manute was avoiding. He claims he is doing work for some place called "Darfur". Whatever, if he was really doing something, why wasn't he (and not Dikembe Mutombo) sitting next to Laura Bush?
