Xavier Calderone was the cousin of Orlando Calderone who traveled to St. Gerard to help Orlando kill the man responsible for Orlando's father's death: Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs. Constantly drinking, Xavier threw a wad of money at the island's police chief to get him off St. Gerard so the Calderones and convict Leon Wolf were free to conduct their murderous plot. Xavier and Wolf also killed the deputy, Reuben Olivo, and took his gun to prevent Tubbs from using it. During the final confrontation, Xavier was shot dead by Tubbs, and his gun was used by Tubbs' girlfriend Alicia Austin to kill Wolf.
