The Great War (sometimes called the Three Years' War) was a major global military war between 1756 and 1759, involving most of the great powers of the time. It spanned several continents, including Europe, North America, Central America, South America, the West African coast, India and the Philippines. The major North American war which had been fought alongside the Great War was King Louis' War from 1754–59.
