The 2006 Carfax 250 was a Busch Series event that occured at Michigan on August 19, 2006. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the event in wild fashion. Earnhardt turned Carl Edwards around on a green-white-checkered. During the cool-down lap, Edwards slammed Jr.'s car and later confronted Jr. in Victory Lane. Edwards was later penalized and put on probhation. Meanwhile, Kevin Harvick finished 8th and took a 484-point lead over Denny Hamlin, who finished sixth.
