The former Secretary of the Interior under President Owen Lassiter who tried to sell back Alaska to the Russians, according to President Josiah Bartlet's senior assistant, Tobie Siegler. He was once a Senior Senator from Idaho and the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee. Originally on the short list to be Lassiter's running-mate but the position later went to Senator Fred Anderson of New York. Rosiello later travelled aboard Air-Force One to the funeral of the late President Lassiter. Rosiello who was a good friend of Lassiter's was one of the speakers at the President's funeral.
