The Digidestined have left the Digital World and the chosen Digimon protect the newly rebuilt File City with Gennai as the Digisquad. Devimon has come back to life and once again tries to take over File City, with his army of evil Digimon called the Dark Legion. Without the crests the Digimon can only digivolve into there Champion forms.
