An unnamed Coach Driver who took the residents to Blackpool for the annual Rovers picnic on Whit Monday 1961. He earned a sharp talking-to from Ena Sharples when she recognised him from a trip the previous year to Abergele in North Wales when he had almost hit a coal cart. Later in the year on 16th October he drove the residents back to the Fylde resort to see the famous Illuminations one evening. The character was unnamed on screen but was given the name Wally Prentiss by H.V. Kershaw in his 1976 novelisation Early Days.
