Swamp Stars were Ghosts that had totally degenerated away from any semblance of their original form. They manifested themselves as small, bright lights that led the unwary into bogs, quicksand or deep pools in marshes and swamps. While the victim drowned or was immobilized, the Swamp Star drained his life energy.
