Jared Spurgeon (born on November 29, 1989 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian defenceman playing for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. He played junior hockey for the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League from 2005 to 2010. The New York Islanders chose him 156th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft but never signed him. The Minnesota Wild signed him as a free agent in 2010 and he was assigned to their farm team in Houston.
