The Runekeeper is a Talorid responsible for the production of Rune Stones on Talorus. Talking to him in Ultima Underworld II revealed to the Avatar that the Runekeeper had been literally made for this job alone, a job that had no match in the original Talorian society. His only job was to create Rune Stones for the wizards of the Guardian, nothing else. He also had absolutely no concept of other things outside of his occupation.
