The Cirali superweapon was a radioactive weapon utilizing the loss of molecular cohesion in ozone molecules thus causing the ozone layer to dissipate on a continental level. When used on Valina it caused a massive ozone hole over 12 million km2 in size. This subsequently caused tons of UV radiation to flood into the planet, eradicating all life in minutes. Valina was able to save 10s of millions of people to launch a counter act. The Cirali and their ancient conflict were uncovered when a drifting Cirali Ark was discovered in Sector 464 in 2475 by the USS Inventum.
