Kurumadani is a muscular man of rall stature with dark brown hair, brown eyes and thick eyebrows. His hair is uniquely combed into an Afro which is also the source of his nickname. In addition, he possesses thick sideburns. He wears the standard shihakushō of the Gotei 13, like many other Shinigami.
