Ulf is a werewolf who lives under the protection of an organization to protect legendary beasts known as the RSPCB (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Beasts) dedicated to the great scientist Professor Farraway. His friends include Tiana the fairy, Orson the giant, Druce the gargoyle, and Dr. Helen Fielding, the vet who raises him since he was a cub. Matching wits with the evil poacher Baron Marackai, Ulf goes on adventures throughout the series to protect mythical beings, including dragons, sea monsters, trolls, vampires, and even ghosts.
