Darth Temera was a female Twi'lek born into slavery on Ryloth as Alana Reya. Enslaved by the Galactic Empire, Reya was bought by Grand Moff Trachta, who then gave her to Merillion Tarko as a gift when she was five years old. During her servitude under Tarko, Reya worked as a slave at his casino on Cato Neimoidia. She was freed when a Jedi destroyed the casino and killed Tarko.
