Fritz was a German terrorist employed by Hans Gruber to be one of Hans' bodyguards during their takeover of Nakatomi Plaza. Like Franco, he was a very reliable and trusted terrorist that was present during several attempts to kill John McClane for much of the film, and was one of the last terrorists to die.
