He played senior hockey in Saskatchewan from 1921 to 1926. In 1926-27 he turned pro with the Regina Capitals of the Prairie Hockey League. Conn continued in the minor pros in western North America until 1931 when he joined the Boston Cubs. After playing for the Philadelphia Arrows in 1932-33, the New York Americans brought him up for two full seasons. He played in 96 games and scored 9 goals and 28 assists. Conn found his way back to the Pacific Coast Hockey League where he played for four seasons with the Vancouver Lions and the Portland Buckaroos. He retired in 1941.
