Marx was a kind and loving husband and father to his wife, Joanna, and his daughter, Pilika. He, along with Joanna, cared for Jowy after he nearly drowned in a river in Jowston near Toto. Marx served as the keeper of the shrine in Toto and maintained it regularly for special occasions. Marx was killed when Lord Luca Blight, then Prince of Highland, attacked and pillaged Toto with his White Wolf Army.
