Trade Federation Center was an area of the Karthakk system under control of the Trade Federation during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The Trade Federation set up a research center in the outer reaches of this system. It was there hope to collect segments of the Spine of Lok, studying the obsidian rocks to provide information to various allies about possible sales and alliances. However, several spies discovered that the Trade Federation had been conducting these secret experiments away from the eyes of the Galactic Empire and other potential enemies. Additionally, this outpost serves as a mining station where asteroid-mined resources may be exchanged for credits.
