Orion Empire
rdfs:comment
The term Orion Empire can refer to any number of empires and political states which arose in various periods of Orion ancient history, often centered around the Rigel systems. These empires were long gone by the modern era, and in the 23rd and 24th centuries, replaced by a mostly apolitical collection of worlds known as the Orion Colonies or Orion Congeries, which were more or less a front for the criminal organization called the Orion Syndicate. (TAS: "Yesteryear", "The Pirates of Orion"; Star Trek: Liberty; Star Trek: Pendragon; DS9: "Honor Among Thieves") The Orion Empire was the colectic name of all the various Orion Peoples in the Star Trek universe. The Orion Empire, also known as the time of the Three Emperors, was a state that existed early in Orion history. (FASA RPG - The Orions module: Book of Common Knowledge)
