Xytryl-class carriers are used as light fighter carriers in day to day operations, but their second intended role is planetary assault. Two heavy dual turbolasers and exceptional targetting systems provide precision damage against entrenched targets, supported by twelve warhead launchers. Its fighter complement varies according mission profile, though during planetary landings it usually consists of Vakrishar Assault Bombers or Carrilya System Defense Fighters. The listed complement is a rough standard for Xytryls on patrol or defense duty.

n9:abstract
Xytryl-class carriers are used as light fighter carriers in day to day operations, but their second intended role is planetary assault. Two heavy dual turbolasers and exceptional targetting systems provide precision damage against entrenched targets, supported by twelve warhead launchers. Its fighter complement varies according mission profile, though during planetary landings it usually consists of Vakrishar Assault Bombers or Carrilya System Defense Fighters. The listed complement is a rough standard for Xytryls on patrol or defense duty. Onboard troops are equipped to perform dropping operations from high altitudes and carry heavy assault armour. Vehicle complement varies, as it usually requires a reduced amount of starfighters to make room. The Xytryl can host up to 2,000 troops, but usually only carries 500 during normal operations. It is among the more common ships seen operating on its own or with minimal escort aside from its own fighter complement. Patrol or defense duties that do not require a larger force are often fulfilled by Xytryls, and it occasionally supports the Drillarian Starforce with fighter power for pirate hunting or serves as mobile headquarters for larger exploration efforts. During wartime, they are frequently used for quick starfighter strikes behind enemy lines.
