After Sith Naval vessels were spotted here, the Republic Navy responded but was trapped in this sector due to the many planets that were turning over to the Sith. The Tingel Arm is an exterior upper arm of the Universe. It is home to the Corporate Sector. In the time just after the end of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire transformed the Corporate Sector Authority into an Imperial Economic State, and it was rumored that CIS remnants continued to be active there. The Tingel Arm was a region in the Outer Rim Territories. One well known planet in the Tingel Arm region was Bonadan. The Tingel Arm is an external arm of the galaxy. During the Great Galactic War, much of the Arm was conquered by the resurgent Sith Empire early on in the war. The Galactic Republic did not make an effort to retake it. Thousands of years later, during the Sith-Imperial War in 130 ABY, a Kaleesh general named Nyax jal Sk'ar conquered most of the Arm for the Fel Empire and cleared it of Galactic Federation of Free Alliances holdouts.
