Loupe is a kind femme who tends to get flustered rather easily. She makes her first appearance in Venomous Energon. Treadgrip is a large an imposing mech who once held rank among the Autobots. He's grim, skeptical and a bit stubborn, but he leads with purpose, aided by his trusted councilor Loupe. He resides in the Bleeding Sands settlement beneath the oxide dunes of the Rust Seas. He makes his first appearance in Venomous Energon.

The drafts are so bad in some areas that there's something of a shuttle graveyard to the east of the plateau. Giant lakes of bromine brew ominously to the south, and further west into the barren desert is naught but mecha-antlion pits and schools of oxide sharks that swim in the rust sand.
