Daichi Akane was a female Twi'lek Jedi Knight in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Born on Ryloth, she was originally the slave of an Imperial Moff before being freed by Han Solo on one of his Rebel missions. She was discovered to be Force-sensitive, and was trained by Luke Skywalker. After her training was done, she became part of the Rebel Knights, a group of Force users within the Rebel Alliance. She fought on many fronts during the Galactic Civil War and was on the Emperor's Most Wanted list. Daichi was temporarily captured on Toola by Imperial snowtroopers under Major Kyp Trasidar. A Rebel Army colonel named Fin Ulrand, who was secretly in love with her, disobeyed orders and sent a task force to attempt to rescue her. However, the attempt failed and he was killed.
