Tarna is a female guard in Tenebrae on the world of Pagan. The Avatar first met her after the execution of Toran in Ultima VIII, during which she had reminded Mordea that casting the body into the sea would offend Lithos. Tarna wasn't very friendly at first, questioning the Avatar's name and business before leaving to later escort away the grieving Rhian. The hero later met her in east Tenebrae. She now was willing to have a conversation and revealed much information about the people, Tenebrae, the surroundings and Pagan in the whole. She also revealed herself to be really patriotic, so the Avatar felt it better to not mention any of the current politics to her.
