Neutral Zone Neutral zone
rdfs:comment
A Neutral Zone is a region of space not claimed by any political entity and used as a buffer between conflicting spacefaring powers. One such area bordered between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire. (TOS movie: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, TOS comic #1: "The Wormhole Connection," TOS movie: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) A neutral zone, also called buffer zone, nickname BZ, is a space area not claimed by any political powers. Usually these areas are demilitarized and served as buffer regions between space-faring civilizations. By the current era, most neutral zones serve as economic and cultural hotpots along sovereignty borders between polygalactic empires and much smaller star nations. Depend on influences from polity to polity, each neutral zone has its own vary in influences and prosperity. The Neutral Zone was the central section of Locus. It contained the planet Nyriaan's planetary government and only spaceport. The Neutral Zone was also where most of the planet's crime occurred, with the Hutt Kajidics and the Black Sun roaming the zone freely. In 2370, a neutral zone was listed on the Deep Space 9 arrival roster as the point of departure for the FGMS Gyt'aerat. (DS9: "Whispers", okudagram) The neutral zone is an area of hostility between StarCon and an unknown entity. The SCS Stupendous is assigned to this sector.

n17:abstract
The neutral zone is an area of hostility between StarCon and an unknown entity. The SCS Stupendous is assigned to this sector. A Neutral Zone is a region of space not claimed by any political entity and used as a buffer between conflicting spacefaring powers. One such area bordered between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire. (TOS movie: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, TOS comic #1: "The Wormhole Connection," TOS movie: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) This neutral zone (sometimes referred to as the Klingon Neutral Zone, the Organian Neutral Zone, or Organian Treaty Zone) was negotiated by representatives of both powers over a period of three months following the imposition of the Organian Peace Treaty by the Organians in 2267. As a result of the zone's creation, both sides gained additional territory in some respect. However, the disposition of planets residing within the zone remained unresolved at the time. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update) The Neutral Zone was the central section of Locus. It contained the planet Nyriaan's planetary government and only spaceport. The Neutral Zone was also where most of the planet's crime occurred, with the Hutt Kajidics and the Black Sun roaming the zone freely. A neutral zone, also called buffer zone, nickname BZ, is a space area not claimed by any political powers. Buffer zones also exist between a vassal state and its boss. For instance, the image above shows a buffer zone between the Italian empire and one of their client-states, the Gran Sardinia. In 2370, a neutral zone was listed on the Deep Space 9 arrival roster as the point of departure for the FGMS Gyt'aerat. (DS9: "Whispers", okudagram)
