The F-104 Starfighter is fairly strong to begin with, and the Float Mines that appear with power-ups are useful for automatically targeting enemies. The Mega Mine bomb sends out a large bomb that explodes into a ring of smaller mines. Unfortunately, they don't usually hit enough enemies to do much damage. When the USS Enterprise was thrown back in time to the mid 20th century, USAF Captain John Christopher was sent to intercept the Enterprise, which the United States Armed Forces considered to be a large UFO. En 1969, le Capitaine John Christopher de l'US Air Force pilota un F-104, appelé Bluejay 4 lorsqu'il entra en contact visuel avec l'USS Enterprise, qu'il considéra comme un OVNI. (TOS: "Tomorrow is Yesterday") When the USS Enterprise was thrown back in time to the mid 20th century, USAF Captain John Christopher was sent to intercept the Enterprise, which the United States Armed Forces considered to be a large UFO. Seeing the F-104 approaching, the Enterprise attempted to hold the F-104 in place with a tractor beam. However the F-104 proved too fragile, and broke up. The Enterprise was able to rescue Captain Christopher by beaming him on board. The wreckage of the F-104 was spread over a large area of southern Nebraska. The Enterprise was able to slingshot back in time, and was able to return Captain Christopher to his own time after preventing the F-104 from being crushed in the ship's tractor beams. (TOS episode: "Tomorrow is Yesterday") The F-104 Starfighter was a type of American interceptor aircraft used by the United States Air Force in the late 1960s. Captain John Christopher piloted an F-104, code-named Bluejay 4, in 1969 when he made visual contact with the USS Enterprise, which was perceived as a UFO. (TOS: "Tomorrow is Yesterday" )
