Each episode is 22 minutes long. "Those Were the Days" is an English-language version (lyrics by Gene Rankin) of a traditional Russian folk song. In this version it was a massive hit for Mary Hopkin. Those Were the Days was a special that aired on December 25, 1977 on WSFA-TV, a local television station in Montgomery, Alabama. The special celebrated the 25th anniversary of the station, showcasing some of the most well-known local talents, as well as more famous connections to the channel.
