Paul Fowler
rdfs:comment
Paul Fowler was the owner of a small family security company. When he conceived of an idea for a high-end security system that would prevent any painting from being stolen by setting up a 'spider's web' of pressure sensors on the back that wold set off alarms if the painting was moved, he approached IPR investors Carlton Wood and Harry Fielding to patent the idea. Unfortunately, they cheated Fowler by taking his idea and setting up a dummy company that would serve as a front for them to sell the idea as their own. The subsequent court case ruined the family and drove Paul to suicide, until the gang conned Wood and Fielding and forced them to return the patent to Paul's widow.
