The bunker is tunneled within part of a spur of the Cheyenne Mountain massif at the Rocky Mountains' eastern "Front Range". Beyond the parking area excavation through the bunker's North tunnel entrance , the bunker's Access Tunnel extends to the South opening at the end of an access road .
