n10:abstract
Sir Horffe is a Gargoyle who'd grown up among the knights of Serpent's Hold. When first meeting him in Ultima VII, Sir Horffe revealed himself to be the captain of the guard in Serpent's Hold. He liked living in the fortress because of the many warriors visiting it, and believed his job of protecting the people to be very serious. However, he felt that Denton was much better for talking about the people themselves. When asked about his blood which Lady Leigh had found on the stone chips of the vandalized statue, Sir Horffe admitted that it was his, but that it came to be there when he tried to stop the vandal. Sadly, it was dark, and he could only see that it was an armed knight. He asked to not tell Sir Richter about it, since he no longer trusted him after Richter joined the Fellowship.
