This form is known as the Alternate Super Saiyan 4 - the version without the tail. It is noticeably different than the previous forms, but it does share some similar qualities, while some characteristics are heightened. The hair in this form returns to more of a Super Saiyan form, while changing to an orange color that sparkles with light. Because a Saiyan's hair darkens as its strength increases (SS1 has yellow hair, SS2 and SS3 have golden hair), it makes sense that SS4 would have orange-goldish hair. Its eyes also glow a bright luminescent neon green.

In this picture Goku is wearing a different colored outfit, similar to that of a hindu warrior, while training on Space Mountain with King Kamehameha, who teaches him a technique called the 5 star Kamehameha. To ascend towards Super Saiyan 4, one must be already a Super Saiyan and has reached level 3, and must be faced with no other option of survival for the needed transformation to occur during battle, which occurs during Goku's battle with Icealon, Frieza's son. As of this time, it is not known when or where the battle took place, or even if it happened at all.
