Benzeel Rikos was a female Soju Centurion of the Order of Keltrayu. She had already served in the field and distinguished herself in the Nightmare War before she was appointed as one of Breek Zagrev's Royal Guards in 149 ABY, along with Zeth Kezzerek. In 150 ABY she and Zeth defeated an assassination attempt against Breek and her children, Delliak and Nike, by the Human Unity Front. Zeth and Benzeel developed a "good cop, bad cop" partnership, using the contrast between Zeth's naturally amicable nature and Benzeel's more cool attitude to keep others off balance. She was very fond of all three of Breek's children, and over time became a friend to Breek's apprentice, Jinyx Windrunner. Both Zeth and Benzeel bucked the trend of their siblings, who viewed Jinyx with distrust for refusing to join the Order; instead, the two Royal Guards eventually came to view her as family and treated her like a little sister. Benzeel became particularly close to Jinyx after the Drakonus was kidnapped and tortured by Impari; uncomfortable around men for a while, Jinyx came to rely on Benzeel for support as she recovered, and Benzeel took a genuine interest in Jinyx's recovery. Benzeel served until late 153 ABY, when Aearbo Manitani replaced her in Breek's Guard contingent. Benzeel returned to the field shortly after. She visited Rykar a year later, along with Zeth and Souv Tanake, to serve as jailers for the Force-sensitive Impar serial killer Rha'Ko Celisee. Benzeel felt contaminated by Celisee's malevolent presence in the Force and was only too happy to see Shaydow Tynblade behead him. Not long after, while taking a vacation to relax after their ordeal, Zeth and Benzeel met Jinyx's Clanless friends in Atteth, and Benzeel took a shine to young Jiro. When Jiro's death sparked the Clanless Crisis, Benzeel returned to Rykar both to help Breek control the situation and to attend Jiro's funeral.
