Hoover Dam
rdfs:comment
Bombshell used a cerebro-shell to force hydroelectric engineer Ricky Vasquez to bring Megatron into the energy plant at Hoover Dam, as part of the Decepticons' plan to steal the plant's energy and transport it to Cybertron via the space bridge. In response, Optimus Prime sent the newly built Aerialbots to hinder the Decepticons. Ricky Vasquez eventually regained control of his body and fired Megatron at the space bridge, saving the plant. Aerialbots over America! Hoover Dam was once known as Boulder Dam. It was built on the border between Arizona, and Nevada. The dam is located approx 30 miles Southeast of Las Vegas. It was named after the 31st president, Herbert Hoover. The dam started construction in 1931 and opened 5 years later in 1936. After repelling an attack on Auric Goldfinger's Midas casino in Las Vegas, his golden-eyed enforcer is sent to the Hoover Dam to exact revenge on Dr. Julius No's forces. The dam had been used as a staging location for the attack and is held by a small army armed with tanks, aircraft, and a seismic bomb; consequently the US security forces keep their distance to avoid Dr. No blowing up the dam. GoldenEye's task is to detonate the bomb, with the help of Pussy Galore and Oddjob, drowning Dr. No's militia. Starting at the base of the dam, GoldenEye scales the structure and makes his way inside. He reaches the seismic bomb, which is suspended over a deep pit and triggers the release. The bomb detonates and the enforcer is almost immediately betrayed and attacked by Oddjob, whom he tosses over a Hoover Dam, called the Old World Wall by Ulysses, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. It lies on the border between the former US states of Arizona and Nevada. During World War II, Captain America foiled a plot to destroy the Boulder Dam. Immediately after the failed air strike against Hamri Al-Assad, the threat level at Hoover Dam was "LOW." ("Day 6: 7:00am-8:00am") Hoover Dam is a single-level PWAD for Doom II. It was designed by Michael Reed as a somewhat Realistic map based on the actual Colorado river structure. It was included in December 1995's PC Gamer magazine CD-ROM. Due to the apparent size of the level's canyon, modern players have remarked it is surprising the level does not require a limit-breaking port. Since about 1900, the Black Canyon and nearby Boulder Canyon had been investigated for their potential to support a dam that would control floods, provide irrigation water and produce hydroelectric power. It was first authorized in 1928, constructed between 1931 and 1936, and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its construction was the result of a massive effort involving thousands of workers, and cost over a hundred lives. In 1947, the name was changed to Hoover Dam, after Herbert Hoover who had been President when construction began. Inside the dam is a hydroelectric power plant that is powered by waves turning a giant turbine at the foot of the structure. It is claimed that the power plant inside the dam generates enough electricity to power the whole South-West of United States as most people there haven't discovered electricity yet and so there is little demand for it. North Las Vegas <> Paradise City <> The Lower Strip <> Shogun Casino <> Mojave Desert, The Upper Strip <> Area 51 <> Hoover Dam The Hoover Dam, once known as the Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam that provides hydroelectric power. Hoover Dam is a hydroelectric plant located at the state border of Nevada and Arizona at Colorado River. It is a Great Wonder in the Civilization games.

North Las Vegas <> Paradise City <> The Lower Strip <> Shogun Casino <> Mojave Desert, The Upper Strip <> Area 51 <> Hoover Dam After repelling an attack on Auric Goldfinger's Midas casino in Las Vegas, his golden-eyed enforcer is sent to the Hoover Dam to exact revenge on Dr. The bomb detonates and the enforcer is almost immediately betrayed and attacked by Oddjob, whom he tosses over a rail into the pit. As the structure collapses, he makes his way to the surface where he is attacked by Dr. No's assassin, Xenia Onatopp. GoldenEye shoots down her tiltrotor fighter aircraft and the two engage in a gunfight, concluding with Onatopp falling from the top of the dam as it disintegrates. During World War II, Captain America foiled a plot to destroy the Boulder Dam. Hoover Dam, called the Old World Wall by Ulysses, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River. It lies on the border between the former US states of Arizona and Nevada. Hoover Dam is a single-level PWAD for Doom II. Immediately after the failed air strike against Hamri Al-Assad, the threat level at Hoover Dam was "LOW." ("Day 6: 7:00am-8:00am") Inside the dam is a hydroelectric power plant that is powered by waves turning a giant turbine at the foot of the structure. It is claimed that the power plant inside the dam generates enough electricity to power the whole South-West of United States as most people there haven't discovered electricity yet and so there is little demand for it. The Dam is also used to keep the rednecks of the South out of the Western more liberal states, such as Utah (home of the Mormons) and Nevada (home of the gamblers). It provides a brilliant barricade on the scenery so that none of the Confederate poor could see Las Vegas where the richer Northerners were wasting all the US government benefit spending. In this way it is very much a social barrier in society preventing the less privaliged from seeing what the more privaliged got to enjoy, much like the Communist Berlin Wall. Hoover Dam like most concrete monuments in the World has become the hub for graffiti artists in the South-West of America lately and displays vibrant cultural messages that Southerners want to show the World with "GET OFF MA TURF!" written in large letters on one side and a large picture of a hamburger on the other. The Hoover Dam, once known as the Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam that provides hydroelectric power. Hoover Dam is a hydroelectric plant located at the state border of Nevada and Arizona at Colorado River. It is a Great Wonder in the Civilization games.
