First Teron'tokal was a Jem'Hadar fleet commander during the first month of the Dominion War. He commanded a patrol to the Tong Beak Nebula to monitor the activities of the USS Lambda Paz, which was sent to verify the authenticity of intelligence that a Jem'Hadar breeding facility was being built on a planetoid in the nebula. Unknown even to Teron'tokal was that an unmanned monitoring station, not a breeding facility was on the planetoid, and that his Vorta supervisor Yelgrun had set up this deception to even the playing the field after the attack on Torros III. When the Lambda Paz sent down two shuttles to get a closer look at the planetoid's surface, Teron'tokal sent Second Ulin'talag and Third Otan'irix to follow the two shuttles to monitor only. Ulin'talag expressed skepticism that being passive observers was no guarantee of success. The two fighters later opened fire on the shuttle piloted by Commander Chaz Logan and Lieutenant Junior Grade Sara Carson. Ulin'talag then dispatched troops to the surface to confront the Starfleet ship's rescue. When his two subordinates returned, Teron'tokal executed both Ulin'talag and Otan'irix for their defiance. Teron'tokal later named Romat'ison his second-in-command, although Yelgrun chose not to promote the young and inexperienced soldier to the rank of Second. During the Siege of Sector 21607, Teron'tokal learned of Yelgrun's deception. He and several of his subordinates then killed Yelgrun. Teron'tokal and the other Jem'Hadar aboard the lead Jem'Hadar heavy cruiser were killed when Hasin Arnit, who had escaped the Lambda Paz after being revealed as a mole, set a collision course for the flagship.
