Jumpship
rdfs:comment
A Jumpship, also known as a Federation Jumpship, was a small atmospheric one-man shuttle. They were used by the Federation Starfleet for emergency evacuations in the alternate reality. In the Tower, players can visit the hangar containing their jumpship. Players can also see their jumpships during their arrival into public spaces such as the Tower and in loading screens while traveling to different locations. The player receives their first jumpship during the mission A Guardian Rises. It lacks a warp drive, however, and suffers from limited range until one is found during the mission Restoration. A jumpship in the Vorkosigan Saga was a space ship that was capable of traversing a wormhole. This was not a trivial matter, requiring significant machinery, including a pair of Necklin rods, opposite and parallel to each other, that ran the full length of the ship and a great many connections throughout the ship that led to the pilot's headset, enabling the pilot to feel that the ship was an extension of his or her body. The Jumpship is a blue ship that appeared in Perfect Dark only during cut-scenes. It was primarily used to ferry Joanna to Lucerne Tower in the mission to find and extract Dr. Caroll.
