Goatstrack was a village of Tortall located near the Scanran border. It was raided by Scanrans in the October of 459 HE, and many people died. The miller's wife, Fanche Weir, who had lost her husband and only daughter to the raiders, rallied the survivors and got them to Fort Giantkiller, ensuring their survival and saving 58 people. The refugees from Goatstrack were transported to Haven in April of 460, a refugee camp commanded by the newly made knight, Keladry of Mindelan.
