n8:abstract
Upon death in the Wilderness, the killer will receive the seed form of the crystal equipment. __TOC__ The Crystal equipment set of mail, helm, gloves, or ring, and shield are the strongest pieces of the equipment in the original release, although the Genji equipment is just as strong, if not stronger, in the Advance port. Currently, the only three existing pieces of crystal equipment are the crystal bow, crystal shield and crystal halberd. Crystal equipment degrades during use in combat. Crystal bows can fire 2,500 shots, degrading after every 250 shots, crystal shields can withstand 25,000 points of damage, degrading after every 2,500 damage and the crystal halberd can do 2,500 hits, degrading after every 250 hits. When crystal equipment pieces have fully degraded, they revert into crystal seeds. Players can take crystal seeds to Ilfeen, who will sing to them and re-enchant them into crystal bows or crystal shields for a price. The initial price is 900,000 coins for crystal bows, and 750,000 coins for crystal shields. Each time Ilfeen re-enchants a crystal seed for a player, the price she charges decreases by 180,000 coins for bows, and 150,000 coins for shields, in this fashion: The price for recharging is not dependent on whether Ilfeen re-enchants the crystal seed into a crystal bow or a crystal shield. For example, a player who pays Ilfeen 900,000 coins to re-enchant a crystal bow will only have to pay her 600,000 coins to re-enchant a crystal shield. A weakly charged (2/10) crystal bow or crystal shield is a reward for completion of Roving Elves. In addition, players can buy new crystal bows or new crystal shields from Islwyn in the forests of Isafdar for the full recharge prices (900,000 coins for crystal bows, and 750,000 coins for shields). While crystal seeds are tradeable, crystal equipment is untradeable except when it is purchased from Islwyn and sold without being used in combat. Crystal bows and crystal shields are "New" when purchased, and "full" when recharged; only the "New" versions are tradeable, and the moment they are used in combat, they become "full." Once a crystal bow or crystal shield is used in combat, it is untradeable except as a crystal seed.
