Noémi LoPinto is a Canadian writer who ran as a New Democratic Party candidate in the 2000 federal election. In 2004, she ran for the Green Party of Canada in the 2004 federal election in the district of Bourassa. She wrote a weekly campaign diary for the Montreal Mirror both times, and worked as a freelance reporter in Montreal before moving to Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan to become the managing editor of the local paper, the Meadow Lake Progress. In the fall of 2005, she left Saskatchewan to work in the newsroom of the Edmonton Journal.
