The Tais Sea was a warm temperate to tropical sea on Aantooine. The Tais was a major source of ferry traffic between Bajorcia and Ulaia, as well as ships heading for northern Laaitia and eastern Fluoritia. Occasionally, during summer months, the Tais Sea would experience the formation of whirlpools randomly scattered throughout, some playing havoc on shipping lanes and forcing captains to change course for upwards of 50 kilometers to avoid them. Additionally, these whirlpools were not static but rather moving along the currents which steered them. Underwater, these whirlpools resembled giant water tornadoes.
