Perks are bonuses obtainable by the player character or companion in the SPECIAL character system. The number of ranks each perk has determines how many times the perk can be obtained. In contrast to traits, perks are almost purely beneficial with only some exceptions. In Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, "skills" have the same function as perks in other Fallout games. Conversely, in Fallout 4, the perk system expands to replace skills. Perks are special abilities and bonuses for your character if you have Shadowlands and / or Alien Invasion active on your account (Note: players using the free play option do not get access to perks). They are a totaIly new set of abilities that you can choose for your character as you progress through Anarchy Online, the higher in level you get, the more options open up to you through this system. There are two sets of Perks to be obtained: Shadowlands expansion set perks and Alien Invasion expansion set perks. For Shadowlands expansion set perks, you don't actually have to do other then level {C normal fashion, every ten levels at level ten you will be awarded {C perk point you reach level 200, for every shadow level you reach after {C level 200 you will gain an extra perk point. This me A perk is a kind of advantage. In GURPS it is a minor, 1-point Advantage. In Hero System, a Perk is a social Advantage. Perks were supposed to be a new type of ability introduced in that were automatically granted starting at level 91. They were supposed to only enhance existing class specific abilities.
