Yrevish was a language used by the Orion race. The Farrezzi of the planet Farrezz set up a hologram message translated into Yrevish that pleaded for intruders to go away if they got past the effects of their subspace distortion projector. (TOS novel: A Choice of Catastrophes) When the Federation embassy on PojjanPiraKot was evacuated in 2353, commanding officer of the evac squad Ensign, Eric Stiles, noticed protesters holding signs in many languages demanding that the non-Pojjans leave the planet. One of the languages Stiles recognized scrawled on the signs was Orion Yrevish. (TNG - Double Helix novel: Red Sector) It was not specified if this was a primary Orion language or simply one of many.
