Dark Casters[[:File:|[, ]]] can be found in Eastern Plaguelands Dark Casters are mages found only in the Dungeon. They are essentially Skeletons, wearing blue Wizard robes. Although they appear with these robes, they are not dropped by the enemy. They have the ability to teleport, and can strike the player through walls by firing Water Spheres at them. They are similar in nature to Fire Imps and Goblin Sorcerer. They can be very annoying if you are attempting to loot items from chests. However, if you have enabled the Auto-pause feature (available as of Update PC 1.0.4), you can take items from the chests with little trouble. Having a Cobalt Shield will also make fighting them easier. The Vilethorn is useful against them because the constant damage stuns them and they will be unable to teleport or cast the spheres. The Dark Caster also occasionally drops Golden Keys, which are able to open Locked Gold Chests in the dungeon.
