Acheron-class Shuttle/Gunship
rdfs:comment
The Acheron class of shuttles was designed to accompany the Vigilant Shadow corvette series. While not as maneuverable as many ships built by CCS, they were still fairly fast. The Acheron subclass itself could carry roughly a full platoon of heavy infantry top the surface of a planet, and support that platoon while on the ground. Its AS missiles were roughly the same size as the antifighter missiles used in other CCS vessels, but were designed for use against stationary targets. However, two of the Acheron's six missile magazines were loaded with antifighter missiles to help ensure that the ship reached the ground safely, and to prevent enemy fighters from interfering with the ground forces.

n34:abstract
The Charybdis subclass was a dedicated bomber, designed to go up against both capital warships and ground targets. A single Charybdis carried enough munitions to put down a cruiser if used properly.
