The Campire was the capital city of the Clan Smoking Tree, and DE FACTO capital of the Laughing Sound. It was a tree and tent town, much like all the other Smoking Tree clan cities. Whenever the Laughing Sound would gather beneath a single God King, they would use the Campfire as their base of operations, otherwise the Chief Smoking Tree was the ruler of the Campfire. Most recently, that was Kaot Lodd, a learned, and secret goodlord of Kazlor Eres (at the time going by the name Janas Dey Aar Orr Urr) Griefolon Nukatt. Griefolon Nukatt had earlier lived among the Smoking Tree as a learned name Jahartos. Jahartos defected over to Garlenn, giving the God King Afobe Lak documents which would then go on to destroy the Ayelands. Afobe Lak's son, Faali X, proved difficult, and so the far bomb had

Two of the city's trees, Yaksal, and Ykdyksyl (Smokingtongue: "Yockish Sword," "Yithish Bane"), were the 3rd and 4th largest trees on this Earth.
